Cadaver - Solution Please see map to see the loactions! Walkthrough by John Fairhall Level 1 ------- FROM THE BEGINNING... In room 1, collect the coin, the diary and the pick. Go to room 2. In room 2, pull the lever to open the door 2/3. Go to room 3. In room 3, collect the bag of stones (Weapon 20 X 3) and go to room 4. In room 4, kill the spiky floater with the bag of stones. Collect the ring on the wall lantern by moving a barrel close and jumping onto the wall lantern from it. Go to room 5. In room 5 collect the Carolus gem behind the bags. When the gem is collected a maggot will appear. Dodge it and go to room 6. In room 6 collect the Turn Monster spell (2 X 40). When the spell is touched, a spider will fall near the door. Dodge the spider and go to room 8 via room 7. In room 8, collect the rope. The grey liquid is a Stamina potion. The barrel contains Stamina (10 X 10). The worm causes little damage, but will reappear when the room is re-entered. Go to room 10 via room 9. In room 10, collect the collect the simple iron key for the door 1/11 and the bread. Return to room 1. In room 1 enter room 11 with the simple iron key from room 10. Collect the bag of stones (Weapon 150 X 3). Open the chest to read the message: WE HAVE HIDDEN THE GEM BENEATH THE SACK. Pull the lever to open door 8/12. Go to room 12. In room 12 destroy the wall by pushing the pick against it. Go to room 13. THE PRISONS In room 13 Inspect the skeleton to reveal the message: DIARY OF YORGAN. DAY ONE. ENTERED THE CAVERN. DESTROYED MY BOAT. DAY 2. DESTROYED THE WORM. BUT SEEMS TO REGENERATE EVERY TIME. CONSTRUCTED A WALL TO PROTECT ME. DAY 3. SPENT ALL DAY SEARCHING THE ROOMS. CANNOT PASS THE JUMPING CREATURES. THERE MUST BE A KEY SOMEWHERE. DAY 4. DISCOVERED THE COMBINATION. ENTERED THE ROOM BUT WAS DRIVEN BACK BY THE DRAGON. MUST FIND PROTECTION. DAY 6. RESTED TWO DAYS. CANNOT FIND ANY SPELLS TO HELP ME. AM GOING TO TRY THWART THE DRAGON AGAIN...DRAGON TOO STRONG. BEWARE OF HIS FIRE. Go to room 14. In room 14 press the buttons in sequence 1 4 3 2 to open the door 13/68. Go to room 17 via rooms 15 and 16. In room 17 collect the large steel key for room 19, but be ready as a water monster fires on you right after it is collected. Collect the skull and go to room 18. In room 18 open the chest to collect a gold funerary coin to be used in room 58 and some food. Go to room 19. In room 19 collect the silver coin. The potion is an Alcohol potion (1 X 50). Ignore it. Use the large steel key from room 17 in the lock to open doors 19/20, 21, 22, 23. Cells: 20: Empty, but entering and returning to room 19 causes a spiky floater to appear. Throw the skull near the floater, which will be attracted to it, then shoot the floater with the stone bag. 21: Feed the prisoner three times for the following messages: THE ESCAPE NUMBER STARTS WITH 1 SKULLS WILL HELP YOU COMBAT THE SPINE CREATURE. I HEAR A KEY IS HIDDEN ON A BODY. Any more food is wasted. 22: Empty. 23: Collect the bronze door key to door 15/24. Go to room 24. EMBALMING AND THE PITS In room 24, press the button to open the lid over the pit entrance to room 26 in room 25. Collect the Carolus gem. The message reads: ...AND CASTING THE SIX GEMS INTO THE POOL CAROLUS ESCAPED ALIVE. Go to room 25. In room 25, throw the rope down the pit (opened by the switch in room 24) and go down the pit to room 26 In room 26 inspect the dead rat to get a small lead key to open door 26/27. Collect the damaged key to open the chest that is present to collect the urn of the alchemist Ragnar. The message reads: THERE SEEMS LITTLE I CAN DO TO ESCAPE NOW THE KEY IS LOST. Go to room 28 via room 27. In room 28 collect the four Carolus gems. The messages read: THE JEWELS OF CAROLUS THEIR HISTORY AND WORTH IT IS HERE I LIE. RICH BEYOND DREAMS. YET ENTOMBED. There two choices now; EITHER Use the Jumping potion in room 27 to jump up to the chain to take you to room 0.In room 0 use the key to unlock door 0/29. OR Go to room 26 and throw all six Carolus gems into the pool to teleport to room 63. You will have access to room 64 and 63 but going through door 63/53 will take you to outside door 0/29, which will still be locked. In room 30 inspect the skeleton to collect the skeleton key to door 30/29. Inspecting the embalmed body causes a spiky floater to appear. Go to room 31. In room 31 collect the cobwebbed key to doors 30/32, 33. Collect the Shot Shield potion (1 X 10), the Unknown potion with a red cross (Stamina 2 X 10), the Unknown potion that smells refreshing (Stamina 3 X 10). The acrid Unknown potion is a Poison potion (3 X 10). Ignore it and the empty flask. Use the cobwebbed key in the lock to open doors 30/32, 33. This will also release three spiders to be dodged. Go to room 32. In room 32 collect the Learn Potion spell (3 X 6), the Freeze spell (2 X 15) and the Unknown frogskin covered potion (Jumping 3 X 50). Ignore the scent potion. The message reads: PURIFACTION IS PERFORMED BY ADDING HOLY WATER TO A BLESSED BOWL. Go to room 33. In room 33 there are four gold coins. Of these, only two can be reached and collected. Collect the food. Go to either room 34 or room 35 and kill the jumper with the bag of stones. Use the skeleton key from room 30 to unlock either door 34/36 or door 35/37. The key will be used up and the other door will stay locked. Go to room 38. THE KINGS CHAMBERS In room 38, kill the sleeping jumper to collect the ring. Collect the two flasks of holy water. Ignore the can, it's empty and trapped. Go to room 39. In room 39, kill the jumper for the key to the chest in room 44. Go to room 40. In room 40 there is a message: NONE MAY ENTER THE TREASURY ROOM BUT THE KING HIMSELF. Go to room 42 via room 41 (ignore the fake crown). In room 42 collect the red shield, the gold helmet, the sword and the gold breastplate. All these are needed to identify you as king in room 43. Go to room 43. In room 43 press the button. Provided you are wearing the correct gear from room 42 you will be teleported to room 44. In room 44 collect the gold pieces, the ring and the crown. Pull the lever to teleport back to room 43. The armour will be returned to room 42. Go to room 45. In room 45 use the key from room 39 open the chest to enable you to collect a silver coin and a spiced leg of beef. Ignore the book of rhymes. The message reads: FREE THE SOUL OF KAZAK WITH A COIN. Go to room 46. CRYPTIC SECTION In room 46, kill the beetles with the stone bag, but be careful to avoid their shots. Jump onto the flames to open door 46/47. Go to room 56. In room 56, collect the Carolus key for the chest in room 58. The message reads: INNER TRUTH OF THE PRIESTS IS REACHED THROUGH PURIFICATION. Go to room 48. In room 48 kill the three spiders with the stone bag. Go to room 54. In room 54 inspect the urn to release a ring and a maggot. Avoid the maggot. The message reads: IT IS SAID THAT THE TREASURIES OF THE PRIESTS HOLD MANY ITEMS. Go to room 53. In room 53 collect the Bless Weapon spell (2 X 5) from under the stones. The message reads: TO LORD CAROLUS FROM CHIEF ALCHEMIST MY LORD YOUR CURE POTION I HAVE HIDDEN IN THE COMMON CRYPT. THE STONES BEING THE KEY. Go to room 55. In room 55 put the gold funerary coin on Kazak's tomb to collect a Fire Shield potion (1 X 100). A spider will appear near the door but can be avoided. Go to room 49. In room 49 the door will lock behind you, but the key on the altar will unlock the door 48/49. The moving urn will smash, releasing a maggot. Push the other urns off the altar to reveal a Dispel Trap spell (3 X 10) and a can. Collect the spell and ignore the can, which is empty. Push the stones off the altar and collect the Cure potion (2 X 20). Ignore room 50, it is empty. Go to room 51. In room 51 collect the four silver coins and the bag of stones (Weapon 200 X 3). Disturbing the dead rat causes a maggot to appear. Go to room 52. In room 52 drop the King's leg of beef onto the altar to receive a Super Fast potion (2 X 60). Go to room 57. In room 57 the message reads: THE CROWN OF THE KINGS WILL ALLOW PASSAGE ABOVE. Go to room 58. In room 58 use the Dispel Trap spell to remove the trap on the chest. Unlock the chest with the key from room 56. Collect the urn of Carolus and the ring. The message reads: ONLY THE CROWN OF THE KING ALLOWS ONE TO PROGRESS. Go to room 59. EXIT THE DRAGON In room 59 kill the beetle with a bag of stones. The message reads: SACRIFICE THE LIQUID OF LIFE TO THE ALTAR. Drop the urn of Carolus onto the leftmost altar to receive an Unknown spell (Massacre 1 X 200). Go to room 61. In room 61 drop Ragnar's urn on his pedestal to receive a flask of blood. Return to room 60. In room 60 drop the flask of blood onto the altar to collect a complex key for door 60/62 and a Read Magic spell (1 X 10). Use the key and go to room 62. In room 62 collect the urn of Wrath Helland if you want. Returning it to room 65 only causes you to be attacked by spiders. Use a Dispel Trap spell on the chest and open it to collect a Read Language spell (2 X 10). Go to room 63. In room 63 collect the Map spell (1 X 8). Use the Read Language spell on the book in another language. The messages read: DIARY OF THE KEEPER OF THE DOORS. TODAY SECURED THE GREAT CHAPEL DOOR THEY WILL NEVER THINK TO COOL THE FLAME. MY LORD. ENTER YOU SECRET ROOM BY THE USUAL MEANS FROM THE PURIFACTORY. BUT THRICE ONLY. MEMOIRES OF CAROLUS. PRETTY DULL. MESSAGE FROM LORD CAROLUS. HE WHO RETURNS MY SOUL TO ITS RESTING PLACE SHALL PASS TO THE CASTLE. Go to room 65. In room 65 collect the flask of bright liquid (Possibly a Stamina potion) and leave the scented oil. Go to room 66. In room 66 collect the holy water. Drop the holy water into the chalice and drink to teleport to room 67. In room 67 pull the lever once to make a Magic Shield potion (2 X 10) appear. Pull the lever again to teleport to room 65. Repeat this with the other two holy waters to receive a Magic Missile spell (20 X 15) and a Mind Blast spell (2 X 8). After all this, go to room 13. In room 13, use the Read Magic spell on the unreadable 1 X 200 strength spell to change it to a Massacre spell. Enter room 68. In room 68 cast the Massacre spell to kill the dragon. Search the body to collect some gold coins and rings. Make sure you are carrying the crown and press the button to open door 68/69. Go to room 69. In room 69 pull the lever to teleport to Level 2. Level 2 ------- GENERAL INFORMATION The pits in rooms 14, 55 and 60 lead to the Pit room 0a. In the pit room there is a gemlock, which, if inspected, offers freedom from the pit for a price. When you accept, a gem falls down for use in the lock and you are teleported to room 1. The extra-large pit in room 63 leads to room 0b where it is necessary to quickly press both buttons before the floor gives way and you fall to the pit below. It both buttons are pressed you are teleported to room 73. If one is pressed you fall to the Pit room with the escape gem. If neither is pressed you fall to the Pit room and must pay to escape as normal. Keys, rooms found in and purposes: room 15 for chest in room 15 room 22 for door 27/28 room 26 for door 26/27 room 28 for hole from room 28 to room 29 room 30 for bars in room 34 room 30 for door 21/18 room 39 for door 39/33 room 41 for door 41/42 room 43 for door 43/34 room 46 for door 52/53 room 50 for wall release in room 50 room 63 for door 65/66 room 68 for door 71/73 room 73 for room 75 in labyrinth room 73 for money release in room 31 START OF LEVEL 2 Starting in room 1, go to room 2. In room 2 collect the Shuriken (20 X 5) and Massacre spell (1 X 1) from the casket on the altar. Collect the Shot Shield potion (3 X 30) from the chest. In room 3 collect the Stamina potion from the altar. The message in the book is: THE BOOK IS BADLY BURNT. BUT YOU CAN MAKE OUT SOME TALK OF TELEPORT STONES. Kill the volcanoes with the shuriken, starting on the rightmost one shooting from the bottom of the room. Go to room 4 and put Capt. Axel's ashes in his urn. Collect the Mind Blast spell (1 X 0). Jump up and touch the ram skull above the altar to reveal the door 4/5. Go to room 6. After entering room 6 the door will lock behind you. Open the chest and collect the Shuriken (10 X 5). The books messages are: CAPTAINS MUST NOW HAVE THEIR EMERALD OF THE GUILD TO ENTER THE CAPTAINS ROOM. TELEPORTERS ARE ONLY TO BE USED BY CAPTAINS. EACH CAPTAIN WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ONE TELEPORTER. THE NAMES OF THE SIX CAPTAINS ARE: BROKSON GRIMBALD AXEL ROGNAR HELM MAGNUM. HISTORY OF TELEPORTERS: THERE ARE SIX GOOD ONES AND SOME FAKES. THEY CAN BE USED ONCE ONLY BEFORE NEEDING A RECHARGE IN THE CAPTAINS HALL. Collect the useless piece of armour and a book and go to room 5. In room 5 stand away from the moving walls and to the top of the room and throw the useless armour at the gap between the moving wall and its support. The armour will very likely land on top of the wall. Move to the other side of the corridor and throw the book through the widened gap between the moving wall and its support. The moving walls will disappear. Pull the lever at the end of the corridor to make the support walls move up and down. Run underneath them to enter room 91. In room 91, pull the lever to make the wall blocking the other door rise. This is locked from the other side, so go to room 7. In room 7 there is a message: TODAY WE BLESSED THE WORKINGS OF THE LABYRINTH. IT SHOULD GUARD OUR SECRETS WELL. Put the Mindblast (1 X 0) spell in Rogal's spell casket and put the small casket into the chest of spell recharging. Reopen these and retrieve the recharged spell. Press both ram skulls to reveal the locked door 7/46. Go to room 8. In room 8, quickly jump up to the floating eye to kill it. Avoid the blob and pick up the "V" token. Go to room 9. In room 9, pull the levers in the following order: 1st 3rd 2nd 1st and press the bottom next to the door to move the wall out of the way. Go through rooms 10, 11 and 12 (kill the volcanoes if you feel the need) to get to room 13. In room 13, all the large tiles release a dart when trodden on. Collect the "W" token by walking along the innermost side of the tile. A Sleep spell (5 X 10) will appear, collect it the same way from the opposite side. Go to room 14. In room 14, press the button on the wall to open door 14/16. Inspect the chair to find a lever. Pull the lever to move a tapestry aside and reveal a button. Press the button to reveal a book. Its message is: THE LEGENDS OF LORD CAROLUS PART 27 BY L.C. THE BOOK TELLS OF A LONG LOST ROOM THAT WHEN ENTERED WITH THE CORRECT KEY WILL GIVE UNTOLD WEALTH AND EXPERIENCE. Go to room 16. In room 16, go up the stairs to room 15. In room 15 collect the key, fall of the walkway and pull the lever to make part of the walkway swing aside. Return to the walkway via rooms 14 and 16. Fall into the area under the walkway. The key will open the chest to reveal the teleporter of Capt. Helm and a bag of gold. Do not pick it up. Move it out of the way and repeatedly open and close the chest to make further bags of gold appear. Repeat as much as you want. To escape, pick the teleporter up to teleport to room 17. Go to room 18 via 16, 14, 15. THE KITCHENS In room 18, jump up and kill the floating eye and avoid the blob. Collect the Unknown potion (Cure Poison 2 X 20). Go to room 19. In room 19 collect the cleaver. Go to room 20. In room 20 collect the Cure Poison potion (4 X 5). Go to room 21. In room 21 the door 18/21 will lock behind you. Enter room 22. In room 22, quickly jump onto the saucepan to open the chest. Collect the key for door 27/28. Go to room 23. In room 23, use the Sleep spell to put the walleye to sleep, which unlocks door 23/24 and 23/27. Go to room 24. In room 24 the door 24/23 will lock behind you. Open the casket to collect a moneybag. Close the casket and stand on it to press the trophy and open the door 24/25. Enter room 25. In room 25 open the chest to reveal two bottles of alcohol and Capt. Magnus' teleporter. Press the button to unlock the door 25/21. Pick up the teleporter to teleport to room 26. In room 26, push all the bottles off the walkway to reveal a key and three moneybags. The key unlocks 26/27, so go to room 27, unlock door 27/28 and go to room 28. In room 28, collect the key from under the walkway and use it in the lock by the door to reveal a chain. From the walkway, pull the chain to move the slab of wood and reveal a pit. Go into the pit to enter room 29. In room 29, pull the chain to make a chain appear to allow you to return to room 28. Do not use a Sleep spell on the walleye. Go down the pit to room 30. In room 30, use a Freeze spell for the two blobs, collect the two keys (northwest torrent key for room 32 and tortoiseshell key for door 21/18) and pull the lever to make a chain appear. Jump up the chain to return to room 29. Return to room 21. In room 21 a tortoise will appear so throw the cleaver at it. Open the tortoise and collect a moneybag. Unlock the door 21/18. Go to room 32. NORTH TOWER In room 32 use the key from room 30 to move the first set of bars. Jump onto and off the large floor tile or the bars covering the door 32/33 will close. Collect the "L" token and go to room 33. In room 33 open the chest to reveal Capt. Grimbold's teleporter. Pick it up to teleport across the room. Push the leftmost button on the wall to activate the colour-changing button in room 32. Carefully push the rightmost button to deactivate the large floor tile outside the door 33/39, which will otherwise let loose three darts from the holes in the other wall. Return to room 32 and wait for the colour-changing button to turn to black, then press it to stop the bars from descending when the floor tile is trodden on (You must also have collected the token). Collect the Mind Blast spell (2 X 20). Go to room 34. In room 34 use the Sleep spell to put the walleye to sleep and unlock the door 34/35. Go to room 35. In room 35 feed all the tokens into the slot, including the token in the room. This will unlock door 35/36 and 40/43. Enter room 36. In room 36 pull lever to raise the walkway. Enter room 37. In room 37 walk under the raised platform and move to the back to make the blob push the casket off the platform. If you have a Remove Trap spell, remove trap from chest and collect a moneybag. Go to room 38. In room 38 walk between the bars. These will close behind you. Collect the Shuriken (10 X 16). You will eventually be given a moneybag, then a Poison potion. Throw the Poison potion at the wallmouth to escape the cell. Go to room 39. In room 39 throw the cleaver at the tortoise and open the tortoise to get a key. Unlock the door 39/33 with the key. Go to room 36 via the stairs in room 37. In room 36 collect the Strength potion (1 X 80) and the Freeze spell (2 X 30), then go to room 35. In room 35 pull the lever to unlock door 35/40. Go to room 40 via rooms 36, 37, 36 (again) and 35. In room 40 the door will lock behind you. Pull the nearest lever to lower the platform. Push the platform over the pit and pull the other lever to raise the platform. Go to room 41. In room 41 collect the key. This will unlock either the high or low door from 41 to 42, depending on which you walk through first. Go through the high door to room 42. In room 42, avoid the floor tile with the cubic and pyramidal green gems on it until a Sleep spell has been cast on the walleyes. Collect the gems. Go to room 44 via 41, 40 and 43. In room 44 collect the Unlock Chest spell and the spherical gem. Use the Unlock Chest spell on two of the chests. From left to right, they contain two moneybags, a Bless Potion spell (2 X 10) and a Stamina potion (3 X 25). Go to room 43. In room 43 fall off the walkway. Use the strength potion to move the pillar next to the key, which will jump onto the top of the pillar. Scrape off the key with the walkway. Do the same for the Stamina potion (1 X 100) and the moneybag. The key will unlock door 43/34. Go to room 10. THE EAST SECTION In room 10, place the three jewels in the appropriate order in the gemlock to unlock 10/45. Go to room 45. In room 45 jump three sets of spikes that appear out of the floor (On the way back there are just the one set) to get to room 46. In room 46 pick up the Nightwatch key (for 52/53) and throw it through the bars. The bars will pass to let you through, but only if you are not holding the Nightwatch key. Pick up the key again and go to room 47. In room 47 go to room 48. In room 48, touch the tapestry on the left to reveal a button. Stand on the bucket to press the button, which makes a chest appear. Open the chest and collect a bag of money and a leg of chicken. Go to room 49. In room 49, open the chest to collect the metal glove. Pull the lever to clear the hole above the bed of obstruction. Go to room 50. In room 50 collect the pike. Open the chest to collect a moneybag. This will cause a wall to lower over the door. Collect the key and move the weapon rack to reveal a lock. Use the key in the lock to raise the wall. Go to room 49 and use the pike in the hole to open door 48/51. Go to room 51. In room 51 both doors will lock as you enter. Feed the wallmouth the leg of lamb and the chicken leg to unlock doors 51/48 and 51/52. Go to room 52. In room 52 go to room 47, avoid the blob and collect Capt. Ragnar's teleporter to teleport to back to room 52 past the bars. Use the Nightwatch key to unlock door 52/53 and to raise the bars. Go to room 53. In room 53 pull lever to lower walls over both doors. Use a shield and a bone to push the pyramidal green gem out of the way of the space between the walls. Pick up the gem, making sure you are not in the space between the walls as they will clap together when the gem is touched. Go to room 54. In room 54 the door will lock behind you. Collect the Poison potion and throw it at the wallmouth to unlock the door 54/53 and reveal several coins. Collect the coins and go to room 55. In room 55 push the platform over the pit and pull the lever twice to raise it to the button. Push the button to unlock door 55/58. Go to room 57. In room 57 touch the second bar from the right to enter cell. Collect a bag of money and a Map spell (1 X 1). Pull the lever to open door 55/56. Touch the second bar from the left to exit the cell. Go to room 56. In room 56, duck under the flames to collect the spherical green gem. Go to room 59 via room 58. In room 59, quickly jump up to kill the floating eye. A hail of rocks will periodically appear along the corridor. Go to room 60. In room 60, push the button to the left of the door to start the platform rotating around the central platform. When it comes past, ride to the centre and collect the Unlock Door spell (15 X 1) and the cubic green gem. Ride the platform to the door 60/74 and press the button next to it to unlock it. Get off the platform onto the central platform so as to return through door 60/59 to go to 61. THE UNDERGROUND In room 61 put the green gems into the gemlock to move the altar aside and reveal the entrance to room 62. Go to room 62. In room 62, go to room 63. In room 63 press button to teleport to room 64. From room 64 return to room 63 and collect key for door 65/66. Go to room 65, unlock door 65/66 and go to room 67 via room 66. In room 67 hold the iron glove to open the chest and collect a money bag. Collect the Shuriken (20 X 5). Go to room 68. In room 68 jump up to kill the floating eye. Use a Freeze spell on the volcanoes to collect the key for 71/73. Go to room 70 via 69. In room 70, collect the coins. Open the chest to reveal three unopenable bags of money. The wallmouth in room 69 can detect gold, so it needs to be smuggled out inside the lead casket. Smuggle the bags to room 71 one a time inside the lead casket. Go to room 72. In room 72, put the Alcohol potion and the bottles into the bowl until filled. I have no idea what for. Go to room 71. In room 71 unlock door 71/73 with the key from room 68. Go to room 73. In room 73, open the chest and collect the maze key and the lost room key for room 31. Put the unopenable bags of gold on the step in front of the wallmouth for three pieces of information. These will direct you to activate the two teleporters by pushing the two ram skulls. To detect the false one, push them off the altar. The real one (leftmost) will not shatter. Pick it up to teleport to room 61. Go to room 74 to enter the Labyrinth. THE LABYRINTH Diagram 1: Using the Unlock Door spell, work your way from room 74 to room 90. In room 90 pull the lever to make the Captains' gem appear in room 91.The maze key will open the door from 90 to 91. It is possible to complete the level and go straight to the Captains' room as long as the barrier on the other side has been removed. If not... Diagram 2: After the lever in room 90 has been pulled the Unlock Door spell disappears and the doors that are indicated become open, allowing you to get to room 75. In room 75 is the Captain's gem, so you can work your way to the next section back the way you came. Diagram 3: If you want to hang around, the maze fills with false teleporters, whose destinations are shown. The lever in room 87 causes all the doors to unlock. There seems no point in continuing in the maze with the false teleporters, but it is possible. THE ENDING The lost room key can now be used in room 30. Go to room 30 and kill the two blobs with the Massacre spell and the various Mindblast spells. Once the second blob dies you will drop into room 31. Collect the money bag and use the key from room 73 to reveal several coins to be collected. You will eventually be teleported back to room 30. The large jewel in your possession will allow access to the Captains room (room 92). All the other urns will turn to large jewels. Place your large jewel on the spare pedestal to create a hole in the centre of the room. Drop all the teleporters into it. Go to room 93. In room 93, wait for the colour of the gem near the lever to turn black, pull the lever and walk into the teleport circle to take you to level three. Level 3 ------- THE MANY TASKS OF KARADOC From room 1 go to room 3 via room 2 (don't fall down the pit). In room 3 collect the three stones available on your side of the bars and jump up and touch the lever to open a space between the bars. The space will close, so to open from the other side of the bars, throw a stone through the bars at the lever. Drop the three stones just collected. Go down to room 4 and collect the Bag of Stones (100 X 10). Return to room 3 and go to room 5. In room 5 it is possible to kill the leftmost spider by throwing stones through the bar, but it is fairly difficult. Either way, pull the lever to move the leftmost bar aside and collect the key (to unlock door 5/6) and the Shuriken (50 X 20). Walk over the spider(s). Go to room 6. In room 6 walk over the spider and use the key from room 5 to unlock door 6/7. Go to room 7. In room 7 open the chest and collect the Stamina potion (5 X 100) and the Dispel Trap spell (5 X 5). The book's message is: HERE IS RECORDED THE POSTHUMOUS TRIAL OF WULF III. WULF III STANDS ACCUSED OF CRIMES OF NEGLECT DESPOTISM AND BARBARY AND IS UNABLE TO PLEAD TO THESE CHARGES. WE FIND THE ACCUSED GUILTY ON ALL CHARGES. WE THEREFORE COMMIT HIS BODY TO THE ROYAL CELL LOCATED BENEATH THIS ROOM. Pull the lever to open the pit entrance to room 0. Go to room 8. In room 8, collect the candle and the key to room 10 (must be used from both sides of the door). The book's message is: TO BREW THE ELIXIR OF LIFE FIRST PLACE THE HERB IN THE FONT OF THE PRIESTS. FOLLOWING THIS ADD THE ANCIENT LIQUID CALLED NODOS. NOW DROP THE WHITE POWDERS INTO THE BREW. IF ALL HAS GONE WELL SO FAR CAST THE SPELL OF THE CALARIAN UPON THE FONT. Return to room 7 and fall down the pit to enter room 10. In room 10 collect the crown and open the chest to collect a Confusion spell (5 X 20). Use the key from room 8 to open the door 10/9. Return to room 8. In room 8 give the crown to Wulf III. He will say: AT LAST SOMEONE HAS FREED MY SOUL FROM THE NECROMANCY OF DIANOS. WELCOME TO THE CASTLE OF MY GREAT FAMILY THE WULFS. IN ORDER TO PROGRESS UPWARD YOU WILL NEED MY HELP. BEFORE I GIVE YOU THE KEY YOU MUST COMPLETE 5 TASKS WITH THE OBJECTS YOU RECOVER WE WILL BREW AN ELIXIR. FIRSTLY FETCH ME THE HERBS FOR THE POTION. THEY ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LABYRINTH. HERE IS THE KEY. Wulf will give you the twisted serpent key to unlock door 11/12. Go to room 11. TASK 1: THE HERBS In room 11 walk down the central strip as the floor on either side gives way to reveal two pits. Use the twisted serpent key to unlock door 11/12. Go through room 12 and room 13 to room 14. In room 14 avoid the rolling balls and go to room 16 via room 15. Collect the stick. Go to room 17 via room 15. In room 17 collect the Unknown potion (Stamina 5 X 50). The book's message is: OLD COOK YAGAA...SHES SUCH A MISER...HID HER FORTUNE IN HER...COOKING...FOUND IT ONE NIGHT...AND SHES NONE THE WISER Go to room 19 via room 18. In room 19 open the chest to collect the key to lower the platform in room 15. Go to room 15 via rooms 13 and 14. In room 15 lower the platform with the key from room 19. Go to room 21 via rooms 17 and 18. In room 21 pull the leftmost lever twice (The first pull opens door 22/21 and the second activates the floor tile in room 22 to move the wall up. Go to room 22. In room 22 step on the large floor tile to move the wooden wall up and allow access to the candle. Collect the bottle of alcohol containing the key to the chest in room 21, the Alcohol potion (1 X 50) and the candle. Return to room 21. In room 21, drink the bottle of alcohol with the key inside to get the key. Open the chest and collect the two candles. Go to room 23. In room 23 pull the lever to release a money bag and to unlock the door 23/18. If this room is entered from the other side and the lever is pulled to open the other door then there is a continuous stream of shurikens from the slots in the walls. Go to room 18. In room 18 place the four candles in one of the four red circles. They will come alight when properly placed. This activates the teleport circles on room 25. Return to room 21 via room 23. In room 21 go to the slot near the door 21/34 and insert the stick to make a lever. Pull the lever to unlock door 21/24. Go to room 25 via room 24 (walk over the spider). In room 25 walk over the four red circles to teleport to room 18, in which a new chest has appeared. Disarm the trap on the chest with a Dispel Trap spell and collect three silver coins, a money bag and a ring (necessary to open the casket in room 27). Go to room 26 via rooms 23, 21, 24 and 25. In room 26 there are two buttons. Press the right button only (one of two buttons that will make a large gem appear in room 27). Go to room 27 via room 18. In room 27 open the casket (you need the ring from the secret chest in room 18) to collect the key to unlock the door 15/28 from the room 28 side. Press the button to release a large gem to be used in room 42, provided the last button pressed in room 26 was the right button. Collect the gem and go to room 28 via room 25. In room 28 collect the herbs and unlock door 15/28 (you cannot take the herbs through door 28/25). Return to Wulf in room 8 via rooms 15, 17, 18, 23, 21, 22, 13, 12, 11 and 7. In room 8 put the herbs in the bowl. Wulf says: ADDING THE HERBS TO THE BOWL IS THE SIMPLE PART NOW BRING ME THE DRINK CALLED NODOS. IT LIES ON THE COOKS STORE. THIS MAY HELP YOU. The key that unlocks door 1/29 appears. Collect it and go to room 1. TASK TWO: THE KITCHENS In room 1 use the key from Wulf to unlock door 1/29. Go to room 29. In room 29 collect the moving coins. If the wall pointer gets to the bottom you will experience damage, but the central wall tile will push it back up when stepped on. When all the coins are collected two large gems appear and the door 29/30 unlocks. Collect the gems and go to room 30. In room 30 throw both the gems onto the ball's path between the ball and the switch. The ball will fall into the hole and the stakes will disappear allowing you to walk across. Collect the thrown gems and pull the lever to unlock the door to room 31. In room 31 collect the chicken. Open the rightmost cupboard and collect the loaves of stale bread. Eat the bread to reveal some money. Do not open the leftmost cupboard as it contains three spiders. Go to room 33. In room 33 collect the boulder and the hogshead. From inside the hogshead barrel collect some raw meat. Go to room 31. In room 31 put the raw meat on the stove and eat the cooked meat to reveal the key to the chest in room 34. Go to room 34. In room 34 smash open all four barrels by plugging the boulder into the hole in the wall, pulling the lever and putting barrels in the way of the flying boulder. The barrels will contain some money and a key to reveal the hole in the wall in room 35. Use the meat key to open the chest and collect a Massacre spell (1 X 1) , a Stamina potion (2 X 25) and a token with a vine leaf stamp. Go to room 35. In room 35, collect the key to the chest in room 36 from underneath the bowl. Use the key from room 34 to reveal a hole in the wall. Plug the boulder into it to make the boulder appear in room 36. Move the barrels to reveal a lever. Pull the lever to make the boulder roll around in room 36. Open the chest and collect the kindling. Go to room 33. In room 33 use a Massacre spell to kill the spider and reveal a key to unlock 34/36. Use the kindling to push the key out of the cage. Collect the key and go to room 36. In room 36 the door will lock behind you. Collect the Unknown potion to return life to the dead (Poison 1 X 20), the Stamina potion (4 X 5) and the other Stamina potion (5 X 4). Use the key from room 32 to open the chest and collect an Unknown potion (Sort of Stamina 1 X 35), an Unknown potion (Super Fast 1 X 60) and leave the Unknown potion (Poison 3 X 30). To make the barrel fall from the shelf (assuming the boulder is also up there and moving) throw the chicken and the hogshead onto the extreme right of the shelf to force the boulder to roll to the barrel. It will fall, enabling you to collect the Nodos potion (1 X 10). Use the vine leaf token to unlock the door and return to Wulf in room 8. In room 8 put the Nodos potion into the bowl. Wulf says: THE ELIXIR DISSOLVES THE LEAVES. WELL DONE. NOW MINION FETCH ME THE WHITE POWDER. IT IS IN MY TREASURY. The key for door 38/39 will appear. Collect it and go to room 38. TASK THREE: THE WHITE POWDER IN THE TREASURY In room 38 unlock door 38/39. Go to room 39. In room 39 do a double jump to get over the spikes. Go to room 40. In room 40 run over the floor tile on the left to open the door 40/42. Go to room 41 as quickly as possible as the slider on the wall will cause a damaging electric ball to appear when it reaches bottom. In room 41 jump over the floor tile to the right of the spikes to avoid a shower of stones. Open the chest to collect a Strength potion (1 X 41) and a Dispel Trap spell (10 X 1). Inspect the barrel to collect a bag of stones (Weapon 100 X 10). Go to room 42, going through room 40 as quickly as possible. In room 42 open the chest by pushing it off the walkway to collect a Shuriken (40 X 15) and a large gem. Put all the large gems into the four holes in the ground to open the door 42/43. Go to room 43. In room 43 wait for the slider to reach bottom and for the boulder to fall. Collect the stones that are formed. Go to room 44. In room 44, walk to the end of the walkway and throw rocks at the lever to open the door 44/45. Go to room 45 before being crushed. In room 45, do not pull the lever to raise a wooden shield against the flying boulders as you will need access to the platform from the ground later. Dodge under the spiky pole to go to room 46. In room 46, ride the platform to the lever on the far left wall. Pull the lever to open door 46/47. Continue on the platform and through door 46/47. In room 47, jump over the spiky pole and enter room 48. In room 48 and room 49, use this diagram of room 49 for reference. Small Casket 1: Trapped. Contains money, the key to S. C. 2. To reach key on platform in room 48, fall through the hole in room 49. Collect key to door 50/51 and pull lever to open door 48/50. In room 50 drop five stones down the hole to replace the floor tile. Use the chest (empty) to reach the lock. Use the key from room 48 to open door 50/51. Go to room 51. In room 51 stand under the bars that will block door 51/47. When they fall the middle bar will be stuck. Collect the money, open the casket with the key and go to room 47. In room 47 rush over to room 52 as fast as possible. In room 52 Dispel the trap on the chest and open it to collect some money and to reveal a smaller chest. Open the smaller chest and collect a Super Fast potion (3 X 30) and a Strength potion (1 X 36). Pull the ground lever twice to move the bars away from the wall levers. Pull the wall levers to open door 52/53, but be ready to move out of the way of a falling boulder when each lever is pulled. Go to room 53. In room 53 use a Shot Shield potion and pull the levers in order from right to left to open door 53/46. Any other way will cause spiders to appear. Go to room 46. In room 46, pull the lever to open door 46/54 and go to room 54. In room 54 pull the lever to make a lock appear and quickly use the key from the Chest in room 49 to open door 54/55 as shuriken will start flying about the room. Go to room 55. In room 55, wait until the spiky bars have made four revolutions before you get onto the platform. Get off the platform on the other side and go to room 45. In room 45 pull the lever to raise the platform and open door 45/56. Jump on the platform on the side furthest towards the back of the room to avoid being hit by boulders. Go to room 57 via room 56. In room 57, pull the lever and stand under the wooden wall to put it in the right place. Drink a Super Fast potion and jump to the key. Collect the key and jump back to room 56. In room 56 open the casket with the key from room 57 to collect the key for room 57. Pull the lever to re-arrange room 57. Go to room 57. In room 57 jump the pit, avoid the boulder and use the key from the casket in room 56 to reveal a stick for the slot in room 56. Go to room 56. In room 56 use the stick in the slot to re-arrange room 57. Go to room 57. In room 57, pull the lever to open doors 57/58 and 57/44. Use a confusion spell on the spiders and go to room 58. In room 58, before the pointer reaches the bottom, collect the money and the small casket bearing the name Singu Teniel Vitreng (The other is a red herring), Dispel the trap on the casket, open it and collect the exit key to open 39/38. The message reads: THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE TURNS ETERNAL. ONE MINUTE A KING THE NEXT A PAUPER. FORTUNE OH FORTUNE HOW MEN LOVE AND CURSE YOU. Go to room 44. In room 44 unlock door 44/42 by inserting the token from room 49 into the slot. Go to room 39. In room 39, unlock the door 39/38 and go to room 8. In room 8 put the white powders from room 49 into the bowl. The Message is: THE POWDERS DISSOLVE WITH A FIZZ IN THE LIQUID. THE KING SPEAKS. YOU UNWORTHY SCUM BRING ME THE ENCHANTMENT SPELL. IT WAS LAST SEEN IN THE HANDS OF A DIPLOMAT. The key to door 60/61 appears. Go to room 60. TASK FOUR: THE DIPLOMATIC MISSION In room 60 use Wulf's key to enter room 61. In room 61 avoid the stones and collect the key to the small casket from room 58. Open the casket to collect a Read Magic spell (3 X 15). Go to room 63. In room 63 push the stacked barrels in front of the boulder hole, but only after a ram skull has fallen out of the hole. Collect the skull. Push the other barrel underneath the shield and inspect it to reveal the key to the small casket in room 64. Go to room 64. In room 64 collect Durrigan's wand. Open the chest and collect the Unknown spell (Unlock Chest 1 X 10) and the wine bottle. Dispel the trap on the small casket and open it with the key from room 63 to collect the key to door 62/65. Go to room 62. In room 62 unlock door 62/65 with the key from room 64. Go to room 65. In room 65 pull the chest onto the other end of the walkway. Pull the lever to raise in into room 66. Pull the lever again and jump onto the platform to get to room 66. In room 66 collect the money and Laguna's wand (Magic Missile spell 15 X 25). Look under the pillow to collect a small casket of transformation. The message reads: AND WHILE AT THE COUNCIL ON THE RIGHT HAND SAT LAGUNA AND UPON THE LEFT SAT DURRIGAN AND HOLDING AUTHORITY OVER THEM WAS MATIL EACH WITH THEIR WAND OF POWER. Cast the Read Magic spell on the Unknown spell to make it an Unlock Chest spell. Open the chest with it and collect some money, a brass key for door 67/68 and a war sign. Go to room 67. In room 67 put the brass key into the small casket of transformation to get the key for door 67/68. Stand on some object and shoot magic missiles with Laguna's wand to destroy the gargoyle and collect the key to the casket in room 68. Unlock the door and go to room 68. In room 68 open the casket with the key from room 67 to collect a Giant Jump potion (2 X 30). Collect the book. When translated, it reads: WHEN OFFERING TO THE GODS OF THE EASTMARCH GIFTS MAY INCLUDE WULFS HEAD WINE A BEJEWELLED CASKET THE SKULL OF A RAM AND THE HOLY BOOK BOUND IN BLACK LEATHER. The lever makes one platform move until the lever is pulled again, and the button allows you to choose which platform the lever will effect. Arrange the platforms into steps and go to room 69. In room 69 open the casket to collect a Read Language spell (3 X 4) and a red casket. Drop the war sign onto the central block to receive Matil's wand (Unlock Door spell 2 X 20). The message reads: INSERT THE HANDLE INTO THE THIRD LEVER FROM THE LEFT. Collect the handle and go to room 67. In room 67 insert the handle into the rightmost slot and pull to open door 67/70. Return to room 65. In room 65 put Matil's wand on the central block, Laguna's on the right-hand block and Durrigan's on the left to make a small casket appear. Dispel the trap on the casket and open to collect the key to open door 71/72. Go to room 70. In room 70 use a Giant Jump and Super Fast potion to jump up to the lever from the bottom stair. Pull the lever to cover the pit in room 71. Got to room 71. In room 71 use the key from room 65 to open door 71/72. In room 72 the holes are colour-coded, so put the white skull, black book, green wine and red casket in their appropriate holes to make the Enchant Liquid spell (3 X 100) appear. Collect it and go to room 61. In room 61 use the Matil's wand to unlock the door 61/60 and go to room 8. Cast the Enchant Liquid spell on the bowl to receive the key to 37/73 and the message: THE BLESSING TURNS THE POTION INTO A MAGIC BREW. BUT FINALLY WE NEED THE CHALICE OF MY FOREFATHERS. IT MAY BE FOUND IN THE OLD GUARDS QUARTERS. A KEY WILL HELP YOU. Go to room 37. TASK 5: THE GUARDS QUARTERS Use Wulf's key to open door 37/73. Go to room 74. In room 74 kill the bottom guard with the Massacre spell to open door 74/75. Go to room 75, dodging the upper guard's boulders. In room 75 kill both gargoyles with a Massacre spell to make the wooden wall move up so you can collect the key for door 37/73. Pull the lever to open door 77/78. Go to room 73. In room 73 unlock the door 73/37 (and the door 6/76) with the key from room 75. Go to room 6. From room 6 enter room 77 through the newly opened door 6/76. In room 77 kill the guard on the lower platform with shuriken and collect the key behind him to open door 77/78. Go to room 78. In room 78 collect the two keys to door 79/80. Kill the gargoyles with stones by standing between them and firing left and right to move the blockade to door 78/79. Go to room 79. In room 79, use any Shot Shield potion left over and kill the volcanoes with shuriken. Use both keys from room 78 to open door 79/80. Go to room 80. In room 80 search the pillow for the key to the casket in room 81. Go to room 81. In room 81 dispel the trap on the chest to collect the Poltergeist spell (3 X 50) and a Magic Missile spell (1 X 20). Pick up the helmet and move it to room 80, then return and use the Poltergeist spell three times. The breastplate, the armour and the casket will be teleported out of the room. Go to room 82. In room 82 dodge the stones to collect the key for door 82/75. Go to room 21. In room 21 unlock the casket with the key from room 80 to collect the chalice. Return to room 8. In room 8 drop the chalice onto the font to fill it with potion. Give the potion to Wulf to receive the key to door 83/84 and the message: WELL DONE. NOW I CAN RETURN TO THE GRAVE. Go to room 83. THE END BIT In room 83 unlock door 83/84 with Wulf's key and go up the stairs to Level 4. Level 4 ------- THE BOUDOIRS OF POWER In room 1 dump all spells and potions other than Stamina and Super Fast potions. Open the chest to collect a Super Fast potion (6 X 20) and a Read Language spell (4 X 16). Collect the money bag. Walk over the moving floor tiles at each corner of the room clockwise from the top tile to collect an Unlock Door spell (150 X 10). Go to room 2. In room 2 use the Unlock Door spell to open door 2/3. Go to room 3. In room 3 open the chest to collect a Dispel Evil spell (4 X 240). Go to room 4. In room 4 open the chest to collect the key to door 5/6. The message reads: COLLECTED WORKS ON DEMONOLOGY. CAROLUS LORD OF WULF. DEMONS ARE OFTEN ONLY VULNERABLE TO BANISHMENT. HOWEVER THEY MAY BE WEAKENED BY EMPLOYING HOLY CIRCLES AND CANDLES. Go to room 5. In room 5 use the key from room 4 to open door 5/6. Go to room 6. In room 6 inspect the pillow to collect a casket of recharging. Pull the lever to open door 6/7. Go to room 7. In room 7 inspect the first shrub from the door to collect a key to the chest. Open the chest to collect an Unlock Chest spell (1 X 25) and two bottles of rare wine. Inspect the rightmost tapestry to reveal a button. Press the button to open door 4/8. The messages are: THE OBSERVATIONS OF QUEEN SHALLOP. I CAUGHT THE HIGH MARSHAL IN A SECRET MEETING WITH DIANOS TODAY. IF IT WAS NOT FOR MY SECRET DESIRE FOR HIM I WOULD HAVE TOLD WULF. OUR GUARD SEEMS VERY RELIGIOUS. HE SPENDS MOST OF HIS TIME IN THE KINGS CHAPEL. WULF HAS GIVEN HIM A KEY. Go to room 8. In room 8 collect the ram skull. Open the chest to collect four bombs. Put the chest underneath the trophy. Explode a bomb next to the door shape on the far wall and go to room 9. In room 9 go to room 10. In room 10 collect the candles. Open the chest with the Unlock Chest spell to collect a Potion Booster spell (1 X 1), a Giant Jump potion (6 X 25) and a Dispel Trap spell (2 X 5). Place a bottle of rare wine on the altar to receive a small casket. Open the small casket to collect the key to 15/16. Put the potion booster spell in the recharging casket to make it more powerful. Go to room 11. In room 11 drink some Super Fast and Giant Jump potion to jump over the pit. Unlock the door 11/12 with the Unlock Door spell. Go to room 12. In room 12 collect the candle. Inspect the pillow to collect a shuriken (40 X 30). Press the blank area of wall above the bed to collect the key to 6/14. Go to room 13. In room 13 Dispel the trap on the chest. Pick up the key to the chest. (From this point on you will be poisoned, so it is necessary to hurry. Use a Super Fast potion from the last level, if you have it.) Open the chest and collect a Strength potion (1 X 1) and a black book. Go to room 12 and pull both levers to open door 11/12. Hurry to room 6 (using more Giant Jump and Super Fast potion). OH GODS OF WAR ABOVE ALL WE OFFER YOU THIS RAMS SKULL. The altar reads: READ ME THE PRAYER OF THE WAR GODS. Go to room 10. In room 10 use the Potion Booster spell on the Strength potion and move the altar away from the button. Press the button to open door 9/15. Go to room 9. In room 9 walk along the walkway through the wall into room 15 In room 15 push the button in the trophy to make the trophy in room 8 reveal it's button and to reveal a note: MEET ME AT MIDNIGHT IN THE SECRET CHAMBER. I HAVE LEFT THE KEY FOR YOU IN YOUR SECRET CHAPEL. OFFER THE GODS THE WINE I SENT YOU AND THEY WILL REVEAL IT. LOVE C. Go to room 8. In room 8 push the button in the trophy to help open the door 15/16. Return to room 15. In room 15 push the trophy's button to reveal the door 15/16. Go to the lock and when the light in the ring is at the top, use the key from room 10 to unlock the door. Go to room 16. In room 16 pull the rightmost lever to open the bars and release some money bags. Collect the key to door 13/18 and the two leftmost moneybags, but not the other bag or the bars will close. (Later, drag the third bag so that you are between the bars. Picking the bag up will cause the bars to close, but your body will stop them closing fully, leaving space for you to move between them.) Pull the leftmost lever to reveal the door 16/17. Go to room 17. In room 17 open the casket and drink the Cure Poison potion (1 X 50) to cure yourself. Inspect the wall lamp to move the tapestry aside. Destroy the wall with two bombs. Go to room 18. In room 18 use the Dispel Evil spell once, then the Magic Missile Spell three times to destroy the demon, shooting along the right-hand side of the corridor. Jump the gap to collect the Bag of Holding (costs 1000 but well worth it). Go to room 12. In room 12 Pull the rightmost lever and then the leftmost lever to remove the shutter from the keyhole for door 13/19 and to unlock door 12/13. Go to room 13. In room 13 unlock door 13/19 with the key from room 16. Go to room 19. YET MORE KITCHENS In room 19 quickly put several candles down, as it is possible to shelter from the demon's attack behind a candle. Put a candle in the red ring to achieve the same effect as using a Dispel Evil spell, which is to render a demon mortal and attackable. The candle will disappear when properly inside the circle. Shoot the demon with the Magic Missile three times to kill it. Go to room 21. In room 21, pull the lever four times to move the bars and the casket to where you can reach it. Pull the casket out of the bars. Go to room 24. In room 24 inspect the jars to find the key to the chest in room 27. Collect the bowl. Go to room 25. In room 25 read the book, THE WISE MAGE ALWAYS COMPILES HIS SPELLS INTO BOOKS. IN THIS WAY HE KNOWS THEY ARE SAFELY KEPT TOGETHER to collect an Unlock Chest spell (2 X 53). Go to room 21. In room 21 use the Unlock Door spell on the casket to collect a Dispel Trap spell (4 X 13) and four stones. Go to room 26. In room 26 use the Unlock Door spell to unlock doors 26/27 and 26/29. Go to room 27. In room 27 use Dispel Trap on the chest and open it to collect the Stamina potion (5 X 50), a Magic Missile spell (6 X 100), a Mind Blast spell (4 X 80) and the key to door 22/28. Eat the best cheese for some gold coins. Put the bowl under the pump and pull the handle until the bowl is full. Collect it and go to room 22. In room 22 place the bowl on top of the separator. Unlock the door 22/28 with the key from room 27. Go to room 28. In room 28 put the flask under the tap and turn it to fill the flask with oil. Take the flask to room 24. In room 24 drop the flask on the fire to cause the ball to fall and reveal a key to the next level. Go to room 29. In room 29 throw the stones between the rolling ball and the wall so that the ball pushes the potion between the bars. Collect the Unknown potion (Giant Jump 4 X 30). Go to room 26. In room 26 use the Giant Jump potion to collect the key to the bars in room 29. Return to room 29. In room 29 use the key from room 26 to move the bars. Go to room 30. In room 30 destroy the demon in the same was as the last in room 19 and collect the resulting key for the chest in room 31. Go to room 31. In room 31 Dispel the trap on the chest and open it to reveal a casket. Dispel the trap on the casket and open it with the Open Chest spell to reveal a small casket. Dispel the trap on the small casket and open it with the key from room 30 and collect the key to door 32/33. Pull the lever to open door 30/32. Go to room 32. In room 32 use the key from room 31 to open the door 32/33. Go to room 33. In room 33 pull the lever to open door 33/34. Pull it again to help open the door 35/36. Go to room 34. In room 34 pull the boxes around so that the door 34/35 is exposed. Go to room 35. In room 35 use the Giant Jump potion to reach the Immortal potion (1 X 30) and the small casket. Pull the lever to open door 35/36 (provided the lever in room 33 has been pulled twice). Go to room 36. In room 36 use the Giant Jump potion to jump over the stakes and pull the levers to make the stakes disappear. Go to room 37. TO CATCH A THIEF In room 37 open the chest to collect another end of level key. The book reads: THE RHYME OF MALLADIN AND THE PITS. FROM THE FAR NORTH COMES DWARVEN GOLD. BLOWING FROM THE EAST THE SMELL OF FIRE AND MAGIC. DEEP IN THE SOUTH THE FORESTS ARE MOVING. WHILE IN THE WEST ETERNAL PEACE AND HAPPINESS LIES. To unlock door 37/39 rearrange the letter tiles so that they spell DIANOS from left to right instead of up to down. Then move the O in DIANOS down one slot to open the door. Go to room 39. In room 39 collect the alkaline potion (ignore the other bottles) and pull the lever to open door 39/40. In room 40 open the small casket from room 35 to collect four gambling chips. Collect the Magic Missile spell from behind the stairs. This is a good point to save the game as the gambling machines are random and there is no assurance that the result will be good. The rightmost gambling machine will return two or three chips when one is dropped onto it, but not every time. The middle machine will return five chips to one at random. The leftmost machine will eventually break and give the key to door 36/68, but before that may give bottles of Stamina potion (5 X 200) and money bags. After gambling to your satisfaction go to room 41. In room 41 there are four pits. Fall down the northern pit to go to room 43. In room 43 you will fall with several money bags. Collect them and go to room 46. In room 46 go through the door not at the end of the corridor to get to room 35. Return to room 41. In room 41 fall down the southern pit to land in room 47. In room 47 collect the Dispel Trap spell (2 X 15) and wait next to the door. Ignore the money bags that appear, as when each appears more plants will grow and possibly grow over the door if you are not in front of it. After six bags appear the door will automatically unlock. Go to room 41 via room 46. In room 41 fall down the western pit to land in room 42. in room 42 put a candlestick onto the chest to reach the lever that will produce the key to the chest. Open it to collect the key to the bars, an Unknown eternal rest potion (Poison 50 X 25) and an Unknown human sweat potion (Strength 2 X 50). The books read: AT THREE TURNS OF THE CLOCK YOU WILL FIND RELEASE. WAR AND PEACE BY TOLSTOY Wait near the wall next to the door until three turns of the clock are finished and a lock appears. Use the key from the chest to move the bars. The door will unlock itself soon after. If you did not move the bars in time, drink the Strength potion and move them. Go to room 43. In room 43 collect the Unknown fizzy potion (Stamina 5 X 50). Go to room 49. In room 49 wait in one position and the flames will not hurt you. Eventually an element of the grating will disappear. Go to room 44. In room 44 some items will appear. Collect the Unlock Door spell (10 X 20), the Mind Blast spell (10 X 30) and the Bless Potion spell (10 X 50). Go to room 38 via room 46. In room 38 give the thief the alkaline potion and then the Eternal Rest poison potion. Search the body to collect a Mind Blast spell (3 X 100). Go to room 36 and open door 36/68 (If you want, no need to do this outside of experience). Go to room 51. In room 51 the door will lock behind you. Put down candles for defense and kill the demons with the Dispel Evil spell and the various weapons and spells in your possession. Unlock door 51/52 and go to room 52. THE LEARNED HALLS In room 52 pull the lever marked "O" (One of several that together spell DIANOS). Go to room 54. In room 54, to make the symbols match the position of similar symbols in room 53 pull the left lever once, the right lever twice and the left lever again to make a button appear in this room and room 53. The Map spell gives an incomplete map, but does indicate a room I cannot find, it must be part of the 5% of this level I cannot find. Go to room 63. In room 63 use the Read Magic spell on the Unknown spell to make it an Unlock Chest spell. Use the Unlock Chest spell on the chest to collect the planet Solaris. Go to room 64. In room 64 collect the boards and the planet Caspian. Pull the lever "A". Go to room 65. In room 65 pull the lever "S". Using the diagram below put Solarian in hole A, the moon in hole B, Caspian in hole C and Rodelon in hole D. Go to room 66. In room 66 inspect the Earth then press it to reveal two end of level keys. Pull the lever "A". Go to room 59. In room 59 pull the lever to open door 59/1, now that all the DIANOS levers have been pulled. Go to room 65. In room 65 drop Arianos down a hole. Go to room 66. In room 66 inspect the blackened Earth to reveal the key to door 67/68. Go to room 67. In room 67 unlock door 67/68 with the key from room 66. Drop the boards on the electrified floor to reach the door 67/68. Go to room 68. In room 68 kill the demons with the Dispel Evil spell and then whatever offensive spells and weapons you still have. The locks are numbered, so unlock them with the end of level keys in the order 1, 4, 3, 2. Walk to the middle of the room to go to level 5. Level 5 ------- ALL ALONG THE PARAPET In room 1 collect the marble and go to room 2. In room 2 collect the other marble and walk over the floor tile three along from the left on the forward side of the room. A skull lock will appear. Insert the marbles into it to open door 2/3. Go to room 3 . In room 3 quickly collect the flask of blood and Ragnar's acidic flask. Go to room 4. In room 4 pull the first lever to raise the first blockade. Pull the second lever to raise the second blockade and release two droids. Press the button revealed by the blockade's movement to collect a Strength potion (2 X 40). Pull the third lever to move the second blockade down again. To open the door the second lever must be pulled, so drink the Strength potion to push the blockade back and pull the second lever. It is important to do this so that you have as much time as possible left for the potion, as there are several useful things you can do with the strength while you have it. Having pulled the lever go to room 5. In room 5 push the third bar from the right with increased strength so that you can enter and leave the barred area. Go to room 6. In room 6 pull the blockade away from the door 6/15. Go to room 10 by going down the stairs to room 7 and through 8 and 9. In room 10 push the middle bar so that the barred are can be entered and left. If you have run out of Strength, this is the least important thing that can be done with it as the barred area can be escaped by jumping onto the lever and over the bars. Do not use the other part of the Strength potion. Return to room 5. In room 5 collect the emerald stone. Go to room 6. In room 6 open the chest to collect a Dispel Trap spell (3 X 1) and a Cure Poison potion (1 X 25). The message reads: FAR BELOW IN THE CELLARS THERE IS A ROOM FROM WHICH YOU CAN REACH THE UPPER COLUMNS OF THE GREAT CHAMBER. IT BEARS A PENTACLE UPON THE WALL PAINTED IN SACRIFICIAL BLOOD. Go to room 7. In room 7 open the casket and collect the green gems and Kamul's Mind Blast spell. Go to room 9. In room 9 open the chest to collect the Bless Potion spell (1 X 40) and the urn. Go to room 7. In room 7 place the urn under the press and pull the lever to smash it and collect an emerald stone. Go to room 11. In room 11 open the chest to collect four Magic Missile spells (50 X 30). Go to room 12. In room 12 open the chest and collect the Immortal potion (3 X 15) and the Cure Poison potion (3 X 50). The note reads: ONLY TAKE ONE OF THE DARK POTIONS OR THE OTHER WILL BE LOST. The two dark potions are Stamina potions. Pick one and the other will disappear. (kametyken: One of the dark potions got 1 x 200 the other 20 x 10 but only the 20 x 10 potion can be boosted to 20 x 50(!) with a Bless Potion Spell - so the this should be the potion you choose.) Stand in front of the pentagram and throw the flask of blood at it to teleport to room 6. In room 6 jump from pole to pole and collect the two small caskets. Be careful, as a pole that has been landed on may shrink by a small length, making the jump to a higher pole more difficult to judge. Open the caskets and collect a Dispel Trap spell (3 X 1) and amethyst, ruby and tiger's eye stones. Go to room 13. In room 13 collect the green gems while avoiding the indicated floor tiles as they teleport you to the barred area in room 5. BILD Go to room 14. In room 14 touching the black balls causes them to explode, so jump over the leftmost one and pick up the bone. Push the middle ball along with the bone to allow you to get to the other side of the room. Jump over the balls and collect the key to door 14/16. Pull the lever to open door 6/15. Use the key in the lock to open the door, then go to room 15. In room 15 inspect the skull to collect a silvery green token and another tiger's eye stone. The diary reads: DAY 2... Avoiding the droid collect the green gems that fall from the gargoyle until a gem and the key to door 18/19 fall down. Collect them and go to room 17. In room 17 the droids stay still until you approach the objects. Walk around the pit and collect the large money bag and the globe and fall down the pit to room 10. The message reads: NUMERIC RIDDLES IN HONOUR OF MY LORD. MY FIRST IS A WEEK OF DAYS. MY SECOND IS THE CORNERS OF A SQUARE. MY THIRD IS ALL ALONE BUT TOGETHER WE MAKE ALL THE MONTHS. In room 10 go to room 7. In room 7 smash the globe with the press to collect an opal stone. Go to room 18. Dispel the trap on the chest and collect the strong spider poison and the money bag. The message reads: THE MIGHTY MIND BLAST SPELL THAT ONCE BELONGED TO KAMUL IS NOW IN MY POSSESSION. IT IS RUMOURED THAT THE GREEN GEMS WILL IMPROVE ITS POWER. Use the key from room 16 to unlock door 18/19. Go to room 19. In room 19 insert the emerald stones into the skull lock to remove the sliding blockade. Jump over the floorway covering the pit as it will disappear as it is passed. Go to room 20. In room 20 open the chest and collect the silver coins and a lead stone. Pull the upper lever to make the platform descend. Get onto it and stay on. Drop the spider poison off the platform and wait for the spider to intercept it. (You may have to stay on the rising platform.) The spider will die to reveal the key to door 20/21. Collect the key and pull the bottom righthand lever to remove the bars. Pull the bottom lefthand lever to bring the platform down. Travel on it to the upper level and use the key in the lock. Return to the bottom and go to room 21. In room 21 go to room 22. In room 22 collect the Magic Shield potion (1 X 250). Dispel the trap on the chest and collect the gold coins. Stand on the chest and press the button to collect another ruby stone. Go to room 23. In room 23 set the numbers to 7, 4, and 1 to unlock door 24/25. Go to room 24. In room 24 go to room 25 and return to room 24. There will be a pit into which the chest has fallen. Pull the lever to allow access to the buttons in room 25. Go to room 25. In room 25 press the left button to collect a small casket. The message reads: DO NOT TRY TO OPEN THIS CHEST UNTIL YOU FURTHER NOTICE. Press the right button to collect the key for room 27 and the key to the chest from room 24 (now in room 11). Go to room 26. In room 26 insert the two ruby stones into the skull lock to remove the first barricade. The message reads: MY LORD I AM GLAD YOU ENJOYED MY SIMPLE RIDDLES. IF YOU WERE UNABLE TO WORK IT OUT THE NUMBERS WERE 7,4 AND 1. Use the key from room 25 in the lock to remove the second barricade. Use the token to unlock door 26/27. Go to room 27. In room 27 collect the amethyst stone and the casket. Open the casket to collect more green gems. Drink the Strength potion and push the platform along with your left shoulder, taking care not to fall into the pits. When it's under the doorway, pull the lever to open door 27/28 and go to room 28. In room 28 stand in the centre of the room to avoid being hit by the flying spheres. Insert the amethyst stones into the central skull lock to open the door 28/29. The message reads: YOU MAY NOW OPEN YOUR CASKET SAFELY. Open the casket from room 25 to collect another lead stone. Return to room 21. In room 21 the floating objects will fall. Collect the money bags and the Water potion (1 X 3). Go to room 25. In room 25 put Ragnar's potion into the bowl. Put both lead stones into the bowl and collect the resulting gold stones. Return to room 28. In room 28 insert the gold stones into the other skull lock to open door 29/30. Go to room 29. In room 29 pull the lever to make the platform lower. Ride on it and jump over the next section of walkway as it will disappear and drop the book down the pit. The book reads: THE ORDER OF THE SKULLS IS JET, TIGERS EYE, TURQUOISE. Push the casket off the walkway and open it to collect a Stamina potion (5 X 200). Go to room 30. In room 30 collect the key to door 30/31. Go to room 31. In room 31 collect the key to door 9/32. The book reads: WITHIN THE PITS I HAVE FORGED A SECRET LINK TO THIS ROOM. UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE HAD TO SACRIFICE THE BLOOD OF MANY VICTIMS TO ACHIEVE IT. Return to room 30. In room 30 open the chest and collect the green gems, the flask of blood, the red and green caskets and the jade stones. Pull the lever to open door 31/33 and go to room 29. In room 29 fall down the pit to 10. Go to room 11. In room 11 use the chest key from room 25 to open the chest and collect the gold coins. Go to room 9. Open the door 9/32 with the key from room 31. Go to room 32. In room 32 collect the jet stone. Press the button to collect a Banish spell (10 X 6). Throw the flask of blood at the pentagram to teleport to room 31. In room 31 go to room 33. In room 33 collect the Petrify spell (1 X 65). Use it on the water potion to produce a turquoise stone. Go to room 35. In room 35 pull the lever to open door 35/3. Go to room 3. In room 3 go to room 2. In room 2 go down the new stairs to room 36. In room 36 collect the Dispel Magic spell (1 X 100). Open the small casket to collect another jet stone. Open the casket to collect five green gems. Go to room 2. In room 2 cast the Dispel Magic spell on one of the gems to receive another turquoise stone. Go to room 34. In room 34 collect the globe. Press the button to collect five green gems. Go to room 7 via the stairs in room 33. In room 7 crush the globe in the press to collect an opal stone. Return to room 34. In room 34 insert the opal stones into the skull lock to open door 34/37. Go to room 37. In room 37 the book reads: ARE YOU SURE YOU BROUGHT SOME TURQUOISE WITH YOU. Drink some Immortal potion and go to room 38. In room 38 put the jet stones in the skull lock closest to door 37/38. Put the tiger's eyes into the next (Requires some timing, but not much) and put the turquoise stones into the last skull lock to open door 38/39. Go to room 39. In room 39 put the red and green small caskets from room 30 down. Put a jade stone in the green casket and open the red casket to produce a bloodstone. Do it again with the other jade stone to produce another bloodstone. Go to the skull lock and let it drain your energy to zero, at which point you can insert the bloodstones and unlock door 39/40. Go to room 40. MISTAH DIANOS, HE DEAD In room 40 insert into the casket the Immortal potion, the Banish spell and Kamul's Mind Blast spell. They have been teleported to the casket in room 42. Go to room 41. In room 41 drop all your spells and potions, as going through door 41/42 will remove them. Drink your Stamina potions to return your stamina to a decent level. Go to room 42. In room 42 open the casket and collect the Immortal potion only. Enter the central door to room 42 (The left and right doors lead to a pit and death) and fall through room 43 to room 11. In room 11 collect the green gems and return to room 41, using the immortal potion to get past room 37 again. In room 41 drink the last Immortal potion and got room 42. In room 42 wait for Dianos to appear. Attack him with the Mind Blast spell and then the Banish spell to defeat him. Collect his head then go through the middle door to victory.
